Reports: City will keep Forest Lake Police Department

Forest Lake City Councilwoman Mara Bain has reported that the city of Forest Lake has reached a tentative labor agreement with the unions representing Forest Lake police officers, which she said will result in a council move to withdraw its acceptance of the proposal from Washington County Sheriff’s Office for contract law enforcement. This move would mean that the city will continue to utilize the Forest Lake Police Department as Forest Lake’s primary law enforcement agency.

Adults in the community who want to better understand their feelings and other psychological topics are encouraged to check out Wednesdays at Wyoming at the Wyoming Area Giese Memorial Library.

Local scout steps it up for Mother Earth

Girl Scout Anna Lindberg picked up trash around the state capital building in honor of Earth Day
For Earth Day, Girl Scout Anna Lindberg from Troop 54772 of Forest Lake stepped up for the environment in her community to show that Girl Scouts are committed to making the world a better place.
For her project, Lindberg decided to participate in the March for Science in St. Paul from Cathedral Hill to the Capital. After the march, she picked up trash in St. Paul near the Capital to help clean up the community.broadstreet.zone(48036);
