Gerald “Jerry” L. Brott

Beloved Father, Brother, Husband, SonGerald Brott, age 73, of Burleson, TX, formerly of Scandia, MN passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in South Padre Island, TX on February 27, 2017.
Jerry enjoyed traveling, golfing, fishing, motorcycling, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survived by wife, Laverne; children, David Brott (Tammy), Kelly Garbe (Randy), Lisa Brott, Laura Martinson (Bill); step-children in Texas, Steven (Joselyn), Sherry (Chris); grandchildren, Christopher, Gus, Katelyn, Arriana, Talia, and Gavin; brother, Bruce (Eileen); sister, Karen (Ray); nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends.
Visitation 10:30 a.m., Mass 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., burial after Mass, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at St. Mary’s, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake. Luncheon will follow burial.

FL’s newest eatery focuses on fresh, local

After years working in restaurants and around food in a variety of ways, Eric Ernst knew it was time to settle in to a place of his own where the creativity could be all his own. Through a somewhat odd series of events, downtown Forest Lake became home to his Ernie’s Eatery.
“I came and ate at what used to be Cilantro’s, and although I wasn’t a big fan of the food, I was curious about the space,” Ernst said. “Two months later, I saw that it was available on Craigslist, and I couldn’t believe my eyes.”broadstreet.zone(48036);

I didn’t vote for Trump and I don’t much care for his policies, but he is my president, and I have to live with that.
