Search announced for Miss Pre-Teen Washington County

Young girls between the ages of 9 and 12 years are invited to apply for the title of 2017 Miss Pre-Teen Washington County. Miss Pre-Teen Washington County will represent her county at the Miss Pre-Teen Minnesota pageant, held at the Wellstone Center April 29.
The young lady chosen as Miss Pre-Teen Washington County will become an ambassador from the Washington County area and will receive an official title and sash. She will also receive a prize package and chance to represent Minnesota in hometown events, parades, and state events.broadstreet.zone(48036);
Pre-teens will compete in personal interview, on-stage interview, fun fashion wear, and evening wear. Applicant sought for Legions boys and girls state

This year, the American Legion Post 225, Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion will again sponsor 11th grade students from the Forest Lake area to attend the Legion Boys and Girls state events. The boys attend MN Boys State for a week in June (11 to 17) at St John’s in Collegeville. The MN Girls State candidates attend the same week, but at Bethel University and at the Capitol in St Paul. Students learn about local and state government in a practical experiential training program.
Qualified junior boys and girls will exhibit the qualities of leadership, good character, scholarship, citizenship, and interest in Americanism.
