County – ANOKA COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE

The Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department hereby gives public notice of its intent to aerate four Anoka County lakes to prevent winterkill of game fish. The County intends to use mobile systems which may be used at any time. The aeration systems will cause areas of thin ice and open water that fluctuate greatly. The aeration systems are intended to be used on Centerville Lake, Coon Lake, Martin Lake, and Peltier Lake. If there are any questions concerning these aeration systems, please contact Glenn Fuchs, Anoka Countys Natural Resources specialist, at 763-767-2896.

Rangers swim in elite division at U of M

The Forest Lake boys swimming team was accepted into the elite Gold division for this year’s University of Minnesota Invitational, competing in a field that included the entirety of the top 10 from last year’s state championship meet. The Gold meet was the top flight of four, above Maroon, Bronze and Tiger, and is perhaps the deepest competition in the MSHSL swimming calendar outside of the state meet. The Rangers placed 11th out of 16 with 145 points.
Minnetonka took first with 660.5.broadstreet.zone(48036);
