Townships – LINWOOD TOWNSHIP SNOW REMOVAL POLICY

With the advent of another snow season comes the concern about access to work, school, and business. The safety and convenience of the traveling public is a primary concern of Linwood Township. The Townships goal is to have all roads passable within a reasonable amount of time after a snowfall has stopped. The Township does not assure completely bare roads, and not all sections of the roadway will be sanded. Users of the road system are reminded to exercise caution and drive with care. Driving at the legal speed limit may not be possible at all times.

1. Dispatching of Snowplows
The Township will usually not dispatch the snowplows until snow accumulates to 4 or more and the snow has stopped, with the exception of extended periods of snowfall. The snowplows will not be sent out in situations where limited visibility poses a hazard.
