Craft night
The Forest Lake VFW, 556 12th St SW, will host a double sided wood holiday decor craft night from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 17. This craft stands two feet tall and on one side is a scarecrow and the other a snowman. The cost is $35 per person. Interested parties must register with Ami at 320-336-9905.
Turkey bingo
Forest View and Forest Lake Elementary will host a turkey bingo event from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 18 in the big gym at Forest View. The schools are raising money for the Literacy through the Arts program. The event is free and open to the public.
Food distribution
Forest Hills Church, 1790 11th St. SE, is hosting a food distribution Nov. 19 from 8 to 11 a.m. A $20 donation is requested to pay for transportation and distribution expenses. Minor car repairs can be arranged for by contacting 651-464-2561 to obtain an application.

Turkey dinner
The Linwood Covenant Church invites the community to an old-fashioned Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 24. The dinner will be served at the Linwood Senior Center 22817 Typo Creek Drive. Senior Dance

The Scandia-Marine Lions will host a free breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 10 at the Scandia Commuity Center. Santa and his elves will be present. The meal will include eggs, sausage, potato cakes, fruit cup, sweet roll, juice, and coffee.
