The most important issue to me in the Forest Lake School District to address would be to limit the amount of standardized tests that the kids have to take. Having the kids testing the third week of the school year just after they had tested the previous spring, in my opinion, doesn’t provide any real information that couldn’t be obtained from the spring test. Having multiple tests per year limits how and what knowledge the teachers can provide to students. The teachers are also limited to the methods in which they teach the knowledge, because using methods that correlate to the testing format is currently the most beneficial to the students. Multiple tests might not allow the students
