What issue would you most like to address as a member of the school board?broadstreet.zone(50962);
The most important issue to me in the Forest Lake School District to address would be to limit the amount of standardized tests that the kids have to take. Having the kids testing the third week of the school year just after they had tested the previous spring, in my opinion, doesn’t provide any real information that couldn’t be obtained from the spring test. Having multiple tests per year limits how and what knowledge the teachers can provide to students. The teachers are also limited to the methods in which they teach the knowledge, because using methods that correlate to the testing format is currently the most beneficial to the students. Multiple tests might not allow the students

Claire Radatz, a senior midfielder for the North Lakes girls soccer team, has become the first Husky athlete to earn all-state honors. Radatz was named to the class 1A all-state second team.
Radatz put together an outstanding season, scoring 20 goals and handing out four assists. She was top-10 in the state in goals and top-25 in total points. She was runner-up for the inaugural Twin Cities Athletic Conference Player of the Year award this season. Although she received her highest award this year, her entire career at North Lakes was spectacular. She won five varsity letters, was named all-conference four years, and captained the team for three. She led the team in goals and assists each of the past three seasons.
Often double and triple teamed, Radatz always seemed to find a way to move up
