The Forest Lake Police Department reported that a number of people have reported seeing bears in city limits lately. Police encouraged residents not to approach or interact with bears and noted that the animals will likely move on from the area soon.
Police also took a report of a theft from a garage in the 19800 block of Forest Road North on June 13, sometime between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. The thief took a blue plastic container containing Harley Davidson parts believed to be worth about $1,000. A Delong heater and a work jacket with the name “Chris” on it were also stolen.

He is survived by wife Arlene (nee Jensen); daughter Lorraine (Dick) Agnes; sons, Tony (Mary) Nalewaja and Dean Nalewaja; grandsons, Jeremy (Jamie) Agnes, Josh (Janelle) Agnes, Jesse (Megan Rydeen) Agnes, Chuck Nalewaja, Brian (Sheri Lammers) Nalewaja, Dan Nalewaja, Chad Gombos; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Lorraine (Clem) Bleninger; and other family and friends.
Red was born in Browerville and has lived in S. St. Paul, Forest Lake, Sandstone and most recently Harris, MN. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and napping.
A memorial service will be held on at 1 p.m. on July 8, 2017 at the Coon Lake Community/Senior Center, 182 Forest Rd., Wyoming, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
