Rangers win 7 of 12 events, finish 108.5 points clear of runners-up
Five Suburban East Conference schools sent their junior varsity squads to the SEC JV championship meet Saturday, and Forest Lake proved themselves to be the best of them all. The Rangers won the championship with 547 points, placing well ahead of White Bear Lake (438.5), Woodbury (416.5), Roseville (242), and Park Cottage Grove (133).broadstreet.zone(48036);
The Rangers claimed victory in seven out of 12 events. White Bear swimmers won four events, with Woodbury taking the other individual win.
The Rangers swept the top three places in the 200-yard individual medley: Tess Sibald won (2:39.98), followed by Mika Peterson (2:40.18) and Sophie Jarosz (2:43.62).
Ranger sophomore Alise Ostercamp won the 200-yard freestyle (2:21.12). Sophomore Mia Janisch finished a very close second (2:21.15), while freshman Bridget Olson took fourth (2:27.86). In the 500-yard freestyle, Olson (6:16.86) and Ostercamp (6:23.54) topped the field.
