Forest Lake Area Schools Community Education program will be hosting its inaugural Boot Hockey Classic tournament on Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Majestic Oaks Golf Club. The tournament will be held on a smaller sized indoor/outdoor hockey rink, and players 18 years old and older are encouraged to gather up a team of four (three players and one goalie) to play against eight to 12 other teams. Each team is guaranteed to play at least three or four games. All participants must wear a helmet and shoes or boots.
The tournament’s purpose is to help those in the community who may not be strong skaters get a chance to stay active, meet other people, and enjoy the game of hockey.
