WCCO reporter Kim Johnson surprised Mansell with an Excellent Educator award.
Forest View Elementary Kindergarten teacher Lisa Mansell was surprised May 4 when WCCO reporter Kim Johnson walked into her classroom announcing that she had received the “Excellent Educator Award.” The award is presented by WCCO and recognizes outstanding educators and the work they are doing throughout Minnesota to help their students thrive and succeed.
Mansell was nominated for the award by a parent who will remain anonymous. Mansell was extremely grateful for receiving the award and could not thank her colleagues and students’ families enough.broadstreet.zone(48036);
“It’s humbling,” she said in a press release. “I’ve had 650 kids I’ve taught. I’ve met wonderful parents, families, and colleagues. To know they look back and find something in me that made a difference in their lives, it’s humbling.”
