AN ORDINANCE ADDING ORDINANCE 703.02 FIREARMS, SECTION 3, PART 2 HUNTING ON TOWN PROPERTY PROHIBITED, OF CHAPTER VII, NUISANCES AND OFFENSES, OF THE LINWOOD TOWN CODE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 23rd day of May 2017, a new ordinance entitled FIREARMS was adopted by the Town Board of Linwood, Minnesota. Due to the lengthy content of the Ordinance, a brief summary follows:
Subd. 1 Authority. Identifies the authorities used in preparation of said Ordinance.
Subd. 2 Policy. Identifies the purpose of the Ordinance.
Subd. 3 Construction and Definitions. Clarifies language used in the Ordinance.broadstreet.zone(50962);
Subd. 4 Applicability. Ordinance applies to all persons within the Township.
Subd. 5 Exclusion for Law Enforcement Officers and Defense of Person. Ordinance does not apply to on-duty law enforcement officers and to a person defending their person or family.
Subd. 6 Discharge of Firearm. Prohibits the discharge of firearms within certain areas of the Township.
