Timothy Curry, age 65 of North Branch, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
Tim was born February 17, 1952 in Watertown, South Dakota to Theodore and Ruby (Walter) Curry.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister.
Tim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy; son, Timothy M. (Shannon); daughter Kristina (Neal) Todd; granddaughter, Wynter; brother, Theodore (Margie) of Pennsylvania; sister, Sharon of South Dakota; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1st at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 31075 Genesis Ave., Stacy, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in Linwood Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.

Margaret “Marge” Hughes, age 82, of Columbus, Minnesota, died Thursday, March 23, 2017.
Marge worked as a RN for over 50 years; throughout the Metro and culminating her career at District Memorial Hospital, Forest Lake and Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center, Wyoming. She was an avid gardener and lover of all animals. She was an active member of The Church of Saint Peter, Forest Lake and selflessly gave of her time and talents where needed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Barbara (Pirkl) Quiding; cousin, Margaret Kluk.
She is survived by her son, George (Chris) Hughes Jr.; beloved pets; many dear family and friends.

Several notable local court cases reached their sentencing stages in early 2017, including those of multiple acts of violence, a man found sleeping in the Forest Lake Wal-Mart parking lot with drugs and a gun, and the campaign sign dispute involving the Forest Lake mayor’s wife.

In one of multiple older cases that reached the sentencing stage this year, Kyle John Duraine, 25, of Forest Lake (a separate recent criminal complaint lists him as having a Columbus address), was sentenced to probation and a $50 fine Jan. 4 for a third-degree assault case stemming from a Nov. 4, 2014, incident that occurred outside the Marcus Theater in Oakdale. He is a military veteran, a painter and artist (and Swedish Dala horse rebuilder), the owner of a hobby farm and married with two children. With 25 years of experience in the Restoration trade, he started his own business, BRC Restoration, in Washington state and ran it for eight years. Forest Lake senior Tia Moscatelli has been named the recipient of the 2017 Athena Award for her contributions to the Forest Lake volleyball and basketball teams.
The Athena Award recognizes the outstanding female senior athlete at each of 43 participating schools. broadstreet.zone(48036);
Moscatelli was informed that she had won a few weeks ago when she was pulled into the athletic office at school.
Tia Moscatelli grew up playing basketball in Forest Lake, and will take her talents to Gustavus Adolphus next year.“I was a little bit in shock because there are so many great athletes at Forest Lake,” Moscatelli said.
Moscatelli has played on the varsity squads in both her sports since she was a freshman. She was a captain in both sports this season.
