Forest Lake girls basketball award winners

Asperheim
Senior Abi Asperheim and sophomore Abigail Groeneweg headlined the list of girls basketball award honorees after being named to the Suburban East all-conference team.
Asperheim was further honored as an academic all-state player.broadstreet.zone(48036);
Senior Tia Moscatelli and sophomores Lexie Hultman and Kenzie Stumne earned a place on the all-conference honorable mention list.
Asperheim and Groeneweg were named co-MVPs of the Ranger varsity squad.
Asperheim was also given the Connie’s Courage Award. Other winners of team awards were sophomore Maddy Rice (Most Improved Player, Hardest Worker), sophomore Lindsey Johnson (Defensive Stopper) and senior Ally Bartlett (Ranger Award).
Groenweg
Rice set a new all-time record by shooting 10-of-10 from the free-throw line in a single game.
Asperheim, Bartlett and Moscatelli served as captains this year. Rising seniors Maija Tanberg, Katherine Taylor and Grace VanBergen have been named the captains of next year’s squad.
The varsity Rangers finished 15-13 on the season.broadstreet.zone(50962);
