When the final votes were tallied, Forest Lake area residents learned that Gail Theisen, Julie Corcoran and Rob Rapheal had retained their School Board seats quite handily. They also discovered that newcomer Jeff Peterson would soon occupy the seat left vacant when Dan Kieger, 2015-16 school board vice president, decided not to run again.
Peterson and the three returning members all spoke humbly about being honored to have earned the voters’ trust. Five-year board veteran Gail Theisen was the top vote-getter with 10,538.broadstreet.zone(48036);
“I am overwhelmed by so much support and the large number of votes,” she said. “Moving forward I look to continue to build on our successes and I want to continue to listen to parents and other district stakeholders. I am also excited to see the completion of our construction project and what that will do to improve the academics for all our students.”
